I had almost gotten to the point where I was simply going to give in and let the pipe take me. I have lost everything valuable to me in life (relationships, careers, houses, cars, friends). This drug is evil and it will not stop until it destroys you. I have recently found SMART recovery. It is a secular, science based cognitive approach teaching how to resisting the cravings and learn how not to act out on the behavior that leads back to the destruction. It is not a 12 step, higher power based approach, but a more practical self-empowering venue. I hope this works. If not, meth is going to take me out.

Re: The challenges of staying sober

it is hard to struggle at the beach - wa wa I am at the beach riding my beach cruiser to a meeting looking at a gorgeous sunset - wa wa - it is a little easier to get the right mind set in newport beach ca. http://www.soberliving.com

Re: The challenges of staying sober

my boyfriend is meth addict we dont have the money for program he is a good per son im there for him cause i care and dont want him to die i feel like i cant leave him because hi will die on this evil drug with out me I am sober never been an addict i just listen to him dont make any comments go with the flow when he acts paranoid i always talk to him about his habbit and tell him he can do it he can stop this if he really wants to but he cant
