I know this is an old post but I just had to add my two cents. Hawaii as a whole isn't that big and the only way to get the drug on the islands is boat or plane. If the U.S government can't stop ice from reaching a small chain of islands with the war on drugs why do they think they can win the war on the mainland. As far as meth goes I don't understand why anyone would put that crap into their system after seeing what kind of chemicals it takes to make it. The Hawaiian people are tribal people or Klan whatever you think people of that nature wouldn't want anything to do with it knowing it's 100%poison. I lost one of my best friends to meth even after his kidneys shut down and having a heart attack he still couldn't get off of it. He hated the drug and new it was going to kill him but it's just one of those drugs that once it gets a hold of you it's relentless and slowly kills you after it takes everything you ever cared about away from you It's a sad epidemic.

So Hawaii is an island.. Surrounded by water. Very few ways of bringing drugs in.. only boats or plane. sad this problem... and the thing is programs out there are not only fake but if the person like stop and change no program is needed. we all partied as young but only the idiots and weak minded refuse to grow out of it.

this thing with how the meth takes over is so true i seen it in my X-wife. it screws the head and she became all the things she claimed she would never become as a norman as addicts reffer to good and stable people not on it!

i hope soon the people of Hawaii get tired of being sold the shit that recovery needs to be funded by our tax money. personally i am a business owner and pay major taxes that i feel it is a waste to feed or help homeless that just like do ice. yes! i said it and most people think that but not willing to say it out loud. addicts are the smartest people to play the system that hard working people pay into with tax dollar. WAKE UP PEOPLE AND FOR THE ADDICTS WE SHOULD DO LIKE OTHER STATES. ONE WAY TICKET TO ANOTHER OR SEND THEM TO A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY TO SURVIVE AND LEARN.

well i hope after a year you get a chance to look back on this to see my reply ., not all addicts are homeless nor violent they are jus like average everyday workin ppl, one day someone you know and love may surprise you they did me and i still know and love that person . meth is not what books and specialist have made us all think it is bad it can kill and it has destroyed ., but in reality it is really jus another addicts choice of high just as beer is to an alcoholic and casinos are to gamblers .. WAKE UP PPL.. this world is not perfect and no one can say who or what any ADDICT is or will do ., as individuals we all need to decide what is important and what is not meth is just one drug that is killing and destroying ., how many lives are bein destroyed by our govt. after all if you do your research you will see itwas they whofirst gave meth to our soldiers to help in the battles of war.... hmmmmm, somethin to at least think about huh

Not sure why they say this "ICE" is crystal meth, has no properties of what was called crystal in the midwest, the effects are way different as well. It's just plain crapolla compared to real crystal. May be made out of the some of the same ingredients but lacks 'legs' of any good sort. I might be getting old but this stuff seems like a totally different type of go-fast. May be good for a one day run, but not a week worth or even 3 days. Seems to be more of a want-a-be speed. If it ain't p2p it aint real speed

Hawaii has lost both paradise and aloha. ICE is only one of the problems that has turned it into a place with a large population that is homeless, angry, and violent. It is no longer paradise when you can't even swim in the ocean due to all the sewage they dump or because the homeless ice addicts have no place to live but on the beaches. What a scary place Hawaii has become - why would any tourist want to go there anymore?

okay first of all, although Hawaii does have an ICE problem, it isn't the worst problem out here. Drunk Driving here kills way more. And Dog the bounty hunter is a bounty hunter PERIOD. Any bounty hunter that has to track someone down has a problem with crime, It may be ICE in a Hawaii, but Crack Cocaine in California..

Let's not forget about Guam's struggle with ICE.Not only has Hawaii fallen victum to the ICE epedemic but Guam has been swallowed whole by it. At $800 a gram families, individuals, professionals, those with potential, have been and are continuing to be destroyed one tke at a time by IVE. On Guam ICE knows no socioeconomic borders it only ravishes destruction and havoc.
